This is the new Obama mantra. It's not me it's the Congress and Washington. Which I am sure he will say when asked that he really means everybody but him and the democrats.

That's going to be the strategy going forward. He see's the numbers, virtually every poll has Congress at an all-time low in respect. He doesn't want to be associated with them, he wants us to believe he is above the fray and needs your help to reign in the Congress and do what you and he know needs to be done.

    We're suckers, he'll get re-elected.

    It's them not me

Hope and Change = Blame and Excuses

If you voted for Obama to prove you weren't racist, how about voting him out to prove you're intelligent.

    Nero in the White House

Mychal Massie for World Net Daily
Three significant historical events have been eclipsed by Obama: 1) Jimmy Carter will no longer be looked upon as the worst president in American history; 2) Richard Nixon and Bill Clinton will no longer be recognized as the greatest liars in presidential history; 3) Clinton’s stain on Monica’s dress, and what that did to the White House in general and the office of the president specifically, will forever pale in comparison to the stain and stench of Obama.
I need not spend much time on the failure of Obama as president. His tenure has been a failure on every measurable level. So much so, in fact, that some of the staunchest, most respected liberal Democrats and Democratic supporters have not only openly criticized him – some even more harshly than this essayist – but they have called for him to step down.
Richard Nixon’s words “I am not a crook,” punctuated with his involvement in Watergate, and Bill Clinton’s finger-wagging as he told one of the most pathetic lies in presidential history, in the aftermath of Obama, will be viewed as mere prevarications.
Mr. Nixon and Clinton lied to save their backsides. Although, I would argue there are no plausible explanations for doing what they did, I could entertain arguments pursuant to understanding their rationales for lying. But in the case of Obama, he lies because he is a liar. He doesn’t only lie to cover his misdeeds – he lies to get his way. He lies to belittle others and to make himself look presentable at their expense. He lies about his faith, his associations, his mother, his father and his wife. He lies and bullies to keep his background secret. His lying is congenital and compounded by socio-psychological factors of his life.
Never in my life, inside or outside of politics, have I witnessed such dishonesty in a political leader. He is the most mendacious political figure I have ever witnessed. Even by the low standards of his presidential predecessors, his narcissistic, contumacious arrogance is unequalled. Using Obama as the bar, Nero would have to be elevated to sainthood.
As the stock markets were crashing, taking with them the remaining life saving of untold tens of thousands, Obama was hosting his own birthday celebration, which was an event of epicurean splendidness. The shamelessness of the event was that it was not a state dinner to welcome foreign dignitaries, nor was it to honor an American accomplishment – it was to honor the Pharaoh, Barack Hussein Obama. The event’s sole purpose was for the Pharaoh to have his loyal subjects swill wine, indulge in gluttony and behavior unfit to take place on the property of taxpayers, as they suffer. It was of a magnitude comparable to that of Tyco CEO Dennis Kozlowski’s $2 million birthday extravaganza for its pure lack of respect for the people.

Permit me to digress momentarily. The U.S. Capitol and the White House were built with the intent of bringing awe and respect to America and her people. They were also built with the intent of being the greatest of equalizers. I can tell you, having personally been to both, there is a moment of awe and humility associated with being in the presence of the history of those buildings. They are to be honored and inscribed into our national psyche, not treated as a Saturday night house party at Chicago’s Cabrini-Green.
The people of America own that home Obama and his wife continue to debase with their pan-ghetto behavior. It is clear that Obama and family view themselves as royalty, but they’re not. They are employees of “we the people,” who are suffering because of his failed policies. What message does this behavior send to those who today are suffering as never before?
What message does it send to all Americans who are struggling? Has anyone stopped to think what the stock market downturn forebodes for those 80 million baby boomers who will be retiring in the next period of years? Is there a snowball’s chance in the Sahara that every news program on the air would applaud this behavior if it were George W. Bush? To that point, do you remember the media thrashing Bush took for having a barbecue at the White House?
Like Nero – who was only slightly less debaucherous than Caligula – with wine on his lips Obama treated “we the people” the way Caligula treated those over whom he lorded.
Many in America wanted to be proud when the first person of color was elected president, but instead, they have been witness to a congenital liar, a woman who has been ashamed of America her entire life, failed policies, intimidation and a commonality hitherto not witnessed in political leaders. He and his wife view their life at our expense as an entitlement – while America ‘s people go homeless, hungry and unemployed.

I think not....judging by his approval ratings the majority of voters would agree.....

Obama's approval rating among blacks has fallen from 98% to 81%...among women, he's down to 43%. He must win both of those groups overwhelmingly or he has no statistical chance to win...

He's going full out on the GOP/Tea Party Congress to the point that he's ignoring the GOP presidential candidates. Makes sense Congressional approval is at all-time low. His message is to ask America to help him to make Congress do the right thing! It's all he's got.

Even that strategy is risky. His two congressional lackeys, Reid and Pelosi, can only stand by so long taking it on the chin from their boss. There IS life after Congress, even for those two.

I'm not sure that this incompetent president has a base anymore. Here in California, the regular Democrats kicked the "Progressive wing" (San Francisco crazies) out of their convention last week, because they've lost faith in Obama and want to launch a primary challenge to him in the upcoming election...

Meanwhile in Pennsylvania, former governor Ed Rendell has been floating the idea of a Hillary Clinton primary challenge...

Congresswoman Maxine Waters and the Congressional Black Caucus has stopped defending Obama policies and openly wondering when he plans to steer his million dollar campaign bus into black neighborhoods where unemployment rates have fallen to Great Depression levels...

Not to worry, Obama has promised to release his plan for creating jobs next month...just as soon as he gets back from vacation...

 The wheels are coming off the wagon...

Seriously, if Hilary won the nomination just what support would she get from the African American comminity? And without it, what chance would she have? .......ZERO

    JOCO that is shocking.

I mean, I'm going to go get another cup of coffee.. call my son to get him up for today's football game, and then come back to read that again kind of shocking.

If there is really any earnest effort to launch a primary challenge to Obama in California, that is a massive red flag.. not just for this President, but for the party as a whole. If the GOP could ever figure out a way to bring California back into play, it could alter the political landscape of this nation for the better immediately.

I think I have figured out Romney's strategy. Stand on the sidelines, silent, while the rest of the group eliminates themselves.

Bachman has guaranteed us $2.00 gasoline. Perry has come out of the chute like Yosemite Sam, a rootin' tootin' six-gun shootin' purveyor of Texas justice who immediately accused Ben Bernanke of treason. Herman Cain is a personable sort with no knowledge of the issues. Gingrich is disingenuous. The guy from Utah looks like a deer in the headlights.

I hope one of these folks get's it together. Four more years of Obama and this republic, as we know it, will be in the history books.

George, if I may take that prediction one step further...

At that point, the left, who have been implying that everybody who disagrees with President Obama are racists...will bring up the Mormon card.

I would like to see a strong GOP candidate as well.

I am not sold on Obama as the best choice and you know he will the the Dem's candidate so I would like a strong alternative to consider.

However......in the pool of GOP possibilities all we see are the same abrasive......cram their ideology down your throat politicians.

I wish the GOP could get smart and wholly embrace someone that has more centrist rather than extremists views.

What's the attraction to all of this extremism on the right?

Actually I think that it's the fault of the GOP voters. Potentially great leaders never have a chance because they can't get the GOP nomination unless they pander to the extreme......"let's crush the Dems like a bug" mentality that seems to prevail on the right.

I realize McCain could have been different....and maybe was that candidate I am talking about but Bush and the imploded economy were too much for him to overcome.

And that is what we see from the leftist Dems. Cramming higher taxes to pay for programs we (the conservative) don't believe in. It is all a matter of perspective Dave.

I don't think that is possible. If any Democrat challenged and took the nomination from Obama it would anger the black community. Without a heavy turnout and nearly 100% of the vote in the black community the Democratic candidate would face impossible odds.
