How Tennessee can beat Georgia handily, both teams have two losses and the Coaches Poll has Georgia ranked ahead of Tennessee?

When I started reading things like Spurrier's "I always knock ND down a couple of spots" I realized that trying to expect logical and unbiased voting by these folks is like pissin' in the wind. Maybe a couple of voters don't like Davey Crockett.

Didn't Spurrier vote Mississippi State in the top 25 a couple of weeks ago? For all the "Spurrier is the straight shooter" guys out there what is that all about?

the bottom line is that the voters all have axes to grind and don't always vote objectively. We've all known that for a long time. Early in the season conference coaches frequently vote their brethern higher than they deserve it helps the conference. Later they have a different axe to grind same for sports writers.

Well, UF played the concensus #1 team "to the wall" before losing in the last minute of the game by 4 points AND the #1 team needed to convert two 4th downs in the game winning drive. Yet, UF is ranked #13?

    Polls are subjective.

Well, it's not like the Gators had won the week before.

Drop down and give us 10 virtual push ups for wrong use of the quote function

Well, it IS a weekly poll, no? So it would make sense it changes weekly based upon the performance of each team, each week.

I would submit that UF's loss to Auburn warranted a drop from #3/4 to 13 ... and then UF's loss to the #1 team by 4 on their field warranted a move to #6 or 7. Heck, there's cause to say UF should have dropped some after its game against Ole Miss.

The UF team that lost to LSU is a helluva lot better than the UF team that went scoreless in the 1st half (and therefor lost) vs Auburn.

Hey Fla. and Auburn have the same records but they're ranked 9 spots behind you. They go into the Swamp, beat you, have the same record and are 9 spots behind. And you're whining.......?

I'm not whining, just highlighting the deficiency and subjectivity of "football polls".

Hey, watched much of the Knute Rockne: All American on Turner Classic Movies, last eveing. I didn't know Rockne was a chemistry wizzard, too!!

Yep the Rock was special. It's too bad Kansas ran into his plane. Never liked those Jayhawks.
