JO'Co and Corey <r>Stu,<br/> <br/> I guess I haven't been around here much lately to know what is going on with the two of them. What the hell happened? Who pissed them off?<br/> <br/> Kinda weired coming over here and not finding one recent post from either one of them. <br/> <br/> It's a great day for the Irish what with the recruiting haul CW just came in with. They should be here to talk about it. <br/> <br/> Hey JO'Co and Corey! Where ya at!!?? <E></E></r>
I don't spend a lot of time on here like I did in the Prodigy days but it does seem funny not seeing those two guys on here. I hope somebody reaches out to them and clears up whatever problem caused them to leave. PJ in Jersey
PJMIII, Has been tried with very little response. It is my opinion, based upon what happened, that something besides the Skybox was bothering Jim. It was not worth him leaving friends on the boards.
I started to make a comment here about an hour ago but lost my internet connection so I'll try again. I cannot say for sure what happened, it's obvious that JO'Co is upset. However I do have to say this as I was deeply involved with posting back and forth with him and Corey just prior to the bowl games over the Gators, Tim Tebow, USC and negative recruiting among other things. There was a lot of disagreement and a lot of thing said. However it was hardly one sided. I think that if any of us are going to take positions that are negative to another posters schools, views, coaches, players and other items then we have to be able to take as well as hand out and then not have hard feelings. I'm not going to rehash all the conversations, but I think it's safe to say like I said above it was hardly one sided. There have been numerous conversations like these in the past and we have always gotten past them and moved on. I am at a loss as to why that has not happened this time and have to agree somewhat with Tom's post above that something else may be going on. As I posted in another topic that this is a family here and families can and do have disagreements and smooth them over and move on. I am still hopeful, but I guess less so, that we can have that happen here.
I am trying... honest ... who said we were not coming back there next season ........ I just need to know what the plan is... then I will do all in my power to have them there....I haven't quite given up yet ... Jim is a very stubborn Irishman, and a very proud one . To say he wasnt hurt would be lying I just have to figure out how to fix it .. Love to you all D
OK. I'm from Jersey and nobody expects me to have any couth so I'll be the bad guy here..... We've all gotten under each other's skin here at times; this is an educated, successful bunch of posters who all have strong team loyalties and we all like to think our opinions are infallible. If Jim and Corey are boycotting this BB because of comments made by individuals on here then it's time to get over it. We all like and respect one another here and sometimes in the heat of battle we step over the lines but it would be no different if we were having these debates over a beer at the corner bar. This is all I've got to say about this... Diane, with all due respect to you, please pass my comments on to these two knuckleheads. If they don't like it they can e-mail me or post here and tell me what they think. They are missed but I'm not going to spend any more time cajoling or analyzing them. You're a good person Diane. I'm sorry to see you caught in the middle of this... whatever the hell it is.
George one of the last things I think someone could accuse you of is being the bad guy, you are one of the most level headed and considerate people I know. Now having gotten that out of the way let me say that you have hit the nail right on the head.

Corey <t>Look, no one has it tougher here than an Alabama supporter on this forum. I am really the only Bama fan. Corey, being an Irish fan living in Alabama has, oddly, become a cohort of sorts. I enjoyed listening to his assessment of some the issues lately, just to make sure I wasn't just being a homer. As the only Bama supporter, I also have had to develop a thick skin and make some tough decisions on when to speak up and when to keep quiet. I need Corey back. Please? I need your third party assessment of some of the SEC issues that we discuss here. Fight don't fold!</t>
Stu I think this says it better!! BTW anybody notice somebody familar in the crowd at about the 1:50 mark??? <object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/q7ViYgBRhFM&rel=1"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/q7ViYgBRhFM&rel=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object>
Correctomundo...I wonder what the heck that was all about. I guess they were guests on the Skelton Show.
I emailed Diane after her last post and asked if she would tell me what the problem is. When I did not receive a reply I went back and reviewed the last series of posts by both JO'Co and Corey. Although their approaches were much different from each other, the common thread seemed to be that they felt they needed to defend the honor of west coast football and - related to that - they felt that those in the group east of the Rockies did not respect the west coast. I could be off base but not by much. I'm sure I'm a culprit in their minds because I unrelentingly hate USC and all it stands for, and I was not going to concede an ounce of forgiveness for their loss to Stanford. If that was an element in their decisions, it's just too bad but that's life. Even your best friend is going to disagree with you once in a while, but it does not denote a lack of respect for you as an individual. I guess the bottom line for me is that I agree with George. I can't imagine anything that has been discussed here that can't be gotten over. If it's a matter of hurt feelings or anger or bruised egos, and if they can't get over it, I'm sorry, but I'm not going to spend any more time or energy worrying about it.
I too of course get tired at times of the bombastic nature of things here and get frustrated a little...sometimes a lot when the going gets one-sided. Otherwise I come here for discussion, information and a lively look at the other side of fandom other than the Gator's point of view. With that in mind this is the only forum in which I am registered and in which I participate. I read profusely the Gator forums but why bother to comment because most point of views would reflect my own thinking in many instances. It does take a thick skin though on Skybox and I understand how some take a permanent hiatus but really boredom is the thing that would keep me out of Skybox more than anything. If this forum became plain vanilla all the time I would seek opposing views elsewhere.
