Tom, I doubt anything can be done about this now but when I signed up this year I created a bracket for North Carolina Gators then joined Skyboxers. However my name last year was NC Gators and I did not complete a bracket for that name. What happened and I have no idea why, is that I am in our league under last years name and will of course get 0 points. I tried to join with my real bracket tonight and to quit with the old name but Yahoo will not allow me to leave or to join with the real bracket. Is it possible for you to over ride? Probably not but I just thought I would ask. It is frustrating that they kept the old name with no bracket when I wanted that one to go away. Blah
Bill, Same sort of thing happened to me. I filled out my bracket as kp but when I went in to check it, kp was empty and Kyles Outstanding Bracket or something like that came up but with someone elses picks. Whoever it was was doing pretty good though.
OK true story, we have a family contest, it's not a bracket contest. You pick five teams and you score based on a multiplier of their seeding x the round they win. So one niece who is 9 has her dad put all the teams names in a bag and she picks 5 teams out of the bag....she got Harvard. I'll bet she is the only person in the USA who had Harvard yesterday.
I don't know if anyone has an interest in the Yahoo! Second Chance Brackets contest. It's a carbon copy of the regular contest but starts with the Sweet Sixteen. I run our family brackets each year and offer the second chance. Only a few participate, but I find it to be fun. I just thought I'd throw it up against the wall to see if it sticks or falls to the floor.
Tom, today it took my right entry and I am in. So far it doesn't calculate my possible points but does calculate my points at this point and has me listed at the bottom of the list. I am the only one who took the Gators to go all the way.
Back in the day, I knew a Gator girl or two that would go all the way... ...not what you're talking about I guess! 8)
Tom, I don't think our women's basketball team is good enough to win it all. In fact they were not good enough to make the NCAA tournament, but are in the NIT. Hope that helps.
Well thanks to Tom taking my wrong entry out of our group and several trys I managed to get my right bracket into our group. Right now I am 10th but seem to be the only one who have picked the Gators to win. I say win because when I said go all the way other idea's came into Tom's head.
