This message is dedicated to the memory of Andy Jaskewicz

That's the one thing about life. None of us are going to make it out alive.

Our fellow Skyboxer Rick, a.k.a. BDR, had a great idea. Actually we've mentioned this before, but he refreshed the thought, was to have a Skybox reunion. Think about it. How many of us enjoyed the company of Andy and made comments to ourselves and on the board that we would like to have a beer with him sometime. Sadly, that won't happen in this lifetime.

So I propose a vote that we make arrangemnets in the near future to make this happen. I have had the pleasure of meeting several members here and would love to meet the rest. MOST OF US HAVE BEEN COMMUNICATING FOR OVER 15 YEARS NOW AND HAVE NEVER MET. I think it's time ladies and gents.

Imagine BDR, Gipper, Doc, Sid, George, Bill, Tom, Buck T, Stu, Scott, Corey, Cindy, Diane, JOCO (yes, you also you Irish P* , Bobda, MCG, Gaterz, who else am I forgettin?, oh yeah, The Conductor, all with drinks in hand....could be fun, could be scary, we gotta try at least once though. Jiffy, I'm sure George will approve your attendance at the meeting. I know I've probably forgotten someone, my apologies.

Anyway, let's give this us hard look at and make a commitment. Andy is a reminder to us that we need to cherish what is important to us. If this forum is as important to you folks as it is to me, and I'm sure most of us, then the choice to commit should be a no brainer.

I know, I know, someones got this planned or I've got to do this, or whatever else can come up. We can do this, and I think it would be a riot.

Remember, I'm no spring chicken anymore and some of you folks's farmers axe is a hell of alot sharper than mine is. Think about that.

Just my thoughts. Whatcha think folks?

    LET'S DO IT.

I have also met several members and would love to meet more so I am of course in.

    I have a great idea, let's meet at a Gator game! :)

Seriously, I've always wanted to go to a Notre Dame game when that group gets together. I know that's not practical but I've kind of had that desire.

Hmmm... well considering this group is spread east and west there's only really one solution:

Meet at the half-way point: north Texas. 8)

That's what I like to hear!!

    Scott,

Naahhh. The airfares are better in the K.C. and Omaha areas.

ND game is a possibility. We could tailgate together. Obviously we all wouldn't be able to attend the game together. However I could bring a copy of the Gator Bowl.

    Other suggestions:

    (1) College World Series Time?
    (2) St. Louis is a good 1/2 way point. And we could get a group rate for a Baseball game and go see Albert the Great.
    (3) Any place we go I can contact the local Marine Corps league, find out were they hold their meetings and see what I can work out as far as a banquet/hall type of place.
    (4) Tom's House in Texas.

We'll wait until the rest of the Masses chime in.

We've known each other for many years but this is the first time you've ever come to me for counsel or for help. I can't remember the last time you invited me to your house for a cup of coffee. But, let's be frank here. You never wanted my friendship and you were afraid to be in my debt.

OK, I'm in. Someday, and that day may never come, I'll call upon you to do a service for me.

I say we meet in Hilton Head in late April. Krebs can bring the Yacht down for some fishing cruises and there's plenty of golf courses to play. Food and Bars are pretty good as well.

We're making progress!! We're losing focus, but we're making progress... :p

I say center of the US.

Here's a quick idea. Mid to late summer, when the Royals are in last place, we can probably get a dirt cheap deal on a group outing in K.C.

We'll set up a nightgame, and tailgate all afternoon? Help me out folks, let's brainstorm.

Ok, my Idea, so I'll try some proposals here. Now I'm serious about this folks, I honestly think we will have a great time.

Here's some dates for Royals BB. If you've never been to Kalfman stadium, it's a neat setup. Very easy access and a huge, Huge, HUGE parking area. It's right next door to Arrowhead and can very easily handle our tailgate requirements. Several hotels and motels within 2 minutes of the stadium, right off of I-70.

Here's some weekend dates I can throw out there:

    Jun 12-14 = Reds
Jun 19-21 = Cardinals (Huh? HUH?) Might be a tough ticket to get
Jul 17-19 = Rays (Jiffy would like that)
    Jul 24-26 = Rangers
    Aug 7-9 = A's
    Aug 21-23 = Twins

Wow. You really take an idea and run with it, AJ. I like it.

I like the KC idea, too. A lot of people here like baseball, and Kauffman Stadium is a great park. Late summer would also be good, as it would not interfere with CFB.

    I'm interested.

How about an all-you can eat group rate? Here's a quick look. I'll get more info here in a little bit.

Gather a group of friends, co-workers or neighbors and experience the Royals All-You-Can-Eat Seats for the lowest price available: just $30 per person! Twenty (20) or more people is all it takes to enjoy this great price, Royals baseball and unlimited food and soft drinks. This may be the best - and tastiest - deal in town! Place a deposit online now or call 816-504-4040 and select the "Group Sales" option.

I would make every effort to be there. Getting together at a Royals baseball game is a great idea. Of course, we'd have to think of ways to keep Gipper from getting bored.

Ok, the Royals theme is getting some thumbs up. Let's put it to vote. We only need 20 or more for a group outing. I'm also checking on Group suites prices. So far, the regular group rate is only $30 per person for all you can eat. Alcohol is additional charge. That's pretty reasonable and the seats are mid-level in the 1st base/RF area.

Dugout suites. 30 tickets for $4,600, 4-Hour Bar ($36 per person) and either a Fiesta, All-American or BBQ menu.

    VOTE:

I vote for K.C. in Mid-Late summer for a Royals game.
