Ah finally got through. AJ is in a funk as the Cardinals are about to go down 3 games to 1 and he still wants a rematch with the KC Royals. Nice talking to you AJ, and congratulations on the degree and your son heading to the University of Nebraska.
Diane woke me up. I can't help the Cardinals, but I'm very proud of AJ. Some things are more important than baseball...
Well.....it didn't work. I was hoping to get some Skybox MoJo going when i could see that Miller was falling apart...and then Adams had 2 throwing errors in the same inning......sigh...... Matheny is making bad managing deciscions....AAA play in the field.....Molina not being behind the plate is killing us......it's over..... Oh...and sorry for the drunk dialing folks.....called Doc O twice in 10 minutes.....don't think he was impressed with that....
Sorry AJ, maybe my becoming a Cards fan has put a jinx on them. Tough loss last night. Thanks for the calls keeping me up on what was going on with the Team! Maybe we can sign Samrzdja in the offseason to bolster the pitching staff!
ahh missed call was you...... Jim left my phone in bedroom never heard it ring didn't look at it till this morning.... Its a big house Sorry he couldn't help AJ but he is very proud of you....
Yeah, guess I coulda worded the topic a little different...but then again, what other problems do we have on this board Scotty!!
BTW, for those I might have alarmed, my apologies....wasn't my intent....however my blood pressure was out of control last night.....and in my defense, 100 proof Knob Creek didn't help either....still had a good time talking with everyone....I think.....
All I could do is laugh in relief when I heard him talking about baseball over the phone.
Jif remembers this...I was too young, but I know about it from baseball history.. The Giants win the pennant, The Giants win the pennant.... <iframe width="420" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/3T0drh8i4Tw" frameborder="0"></iframe>
I remember. I was 7 years old and already a big baseball fan. I saw it on on TV. I must be thinking about the news because I would have been in school while the game was being played. I would have been sad because I liked the Dodgers and didn't like the Giants, except for Willie Mays. That was Mays' (and Mantle's) rookie year.
YES! I remember it and remember exactly where I was. Bobby Thompson took Ralph Branca Yard. 1952..and the rest is history :!: :!:
