well actually it starts Thursday this week. Lots of big games to set the table for what figures to be a crazy dash to the finish. Thursday: -South Florida @ Rutgers Saturday -Texas AM @ Nebraska. Ok this one doesn't have title implications but its a train wreck I'd still like to watch. How about we just let the fans duke it out? At least they can show those kids what heart is since neither HC can bring it out. -Cincinnati and Pitt: OK, I dont really care but this game is big for the big east. -Penn State @ Indiana: No, you didn't read it wrong. This game is huge this year in the Big10. -Michigan State @ Ohio State: The Sparties aren't as good as the Buckeyes, but they are well coached... and number one hasn't been a real good place to be this season. -FLORIDA AT KENTUCKY: This game just went from important to block buster given last week's results. -USC @ Notre Dame: No one cares except the fans of the respective schools, but this one will tell us alot about ND...and USC. -Texas Tech @ Missouri-Can Missou rebound? -Miami (FL) @ FSU: Like USC/ND. The only people who will care about this game are the fans of the teams, but like USC vs ND, its fun. -TENNESSEE AT ALABAMA: I dont care what the standings are. This is perhaps the hardest hitting game played each year in college football. These two REALLY don't like each other at all. -Kansas @ Colorado: No. I'm not kidding. We get to find out a whole lot more about both teams right here on the field. -Kstate @ Oklahoma State: This is another game that will tell us a lot more about these two clubs. -Michigan @ Illinois: Is Michigan back in the hunt? Is Illinois for real? We find out the answer right now. -AUBURN AT LSU: I'd like to think this is a bad draw and timing for Auburn but the fact remains that Auburn's OC has proven over time to be a great ball control schemer for tough defenses. If his players execute, he'll find a way to beat you. LSU will be angry, hungry and looking to make a statement at home at night. The task for Auburn is to keep this close for as long as possible. IMHO, LSU will eat itself if this goes on too long, or they find themselves trailing in the 4th. This is the 2nd physical opponent in a row for Auburn on the road. Will their bodies be able to stand up to the beating for 2 straight weeks?
Here's what I hope happens USF over Rutgers - Florida team and if OSU loses, who's #1 an idle BC??!!! Cinn over Pitt - set up a big game with USF MSU over OSU - need another #1 to lose, especially for USF's cause UF over Kentucky - keep SEC-East hopes alive ND over USC - After some recent thread, I'm really hoping for ND in the Emerald Bowl against da U. FSU over da U - need da U to finish the season with 5-6 losses Bama over UT - need to keep UF's SEC-East hopes alive OSU over Kansas - gotta pull for Larry Fedora Illinois over Michigan - Can't help but pull for Zook over Carr. Auburn over LSU - gotta like their colors
Thanks for the list Corey! I haven't had time to see what was coming up, and you are right - it's a great weekend! Sadly(not really)... no one will see the Aggie/Husker train wreck unless you are there in person. No TV. I hope Auburn pounds LSU to pulp. The Aggie/Loser State history is not a good one, and when they got Lies Miles as their coach it took my dislike for them to all new levels. USF vs Rutgers South Florida in the BCS champ game? Who would have ever thought that possible?? NOBODY! Sweet! Florida/Kentucky - wow that could be a great one! I'm gonna wear out the DVR this weekend... that's for sure!
I'm not sure about that TOK....I'm thinking he's going to have his kids ready to play when they visit Columbus. Former assistant coming back, program win, salvage season, yada, yada, yada....
UK/UF should be a hellofa game. SECEast battle of the Titans (with SC in the wings) UT/UA - Wow! who knows? AU/LSU - I think LSU bounces back ND/USC - Not going to pretty I think. USF/RU - Can you believe USF? RU looks vulnerable!
..... <t>Gaterz,

The Irish will not be going bowling. They needed to win out (starting last week), thus my contention that it would take an act of God to get them that extra month of practice. Honestly, all I (and most ND fans) are looking for is steady improvement from this incredibly young team.

Scott,

No problem, I thought I'd toss that out there to get things back to football around here. There are a lot of games this week that may play huge factors in the rest of the season.

Lots of do or die type of games for teams hoping for conference titles or premier bowl spots.</t>
Been to 4 Ky-Fla games in Lexington and gave some thought early in the season to attanding this one and probably would have except for the danged leg. Mighta been a scary game to be at though and believe me those Cat fans would enjoy beating Florida as much as anybody on their schedule except for maybe Tenn. Also....just found out ESPN Gameday is following the Gators around. They were in Baton Rouge and this Sat. they will be in Lexington probably for the first time ever there. I like that Gameday is getting off it's parent network kick and back to it's roots regardless of marketing directives.
That's a good list Corey. As far as the SEC East, two teams are in charge of their own destiny, South Carolina and Tennessee, everyone else needs help. LSU could be sky high, or could be down due to their loss to Kentucky.
