Here comes Papi now... No need for thanks on the other players. For Red Sox fans, it was all paid back just recently in one glorious, magnificent YANKEE CHOKE JOB I couldn't have scripted a better moment myself. Thanks again, girls. Rick
Correction! Did not the Yankees defeat the Mets for the 2000 World Championship? If so, that would make us tied with Boston. So what else you got?
Well, I've got the U.S. Naval Observatory stating "The 3rd millennium will begin with AD 2001 and continue through AD 3000". And if you want a more wordly perspective, there's always the Royal Observatory of Greenwich, which states "The first day of the new Millennium was 1 January 2001. The year 2000 was actually the final year of the previous Millennium." So, as I asked - Any in this century?
Shall I refer to you henceforth as Commodore Rick or Sir Richard of Greenwich? Sir Richard of Greenwich Yeah, that works for me.
Interesting that the illuatration you selected for the fictional "Sir Richard of Greenwich" is actually of Sir George Cockburn. Cockburn? There's something you can take for that these days. LOL! But this thread isn't about you or me. It's about the Yankees. Any in the century?
George Cockburn or What's the difference? You ARE, henceforth and for perpetuity, Sir Richard of Greenwich, loyal knight of the Order of the Fenway Frank.
The difference is that's Reuben J. 'Rooster' Cogburn. Sheesh. Keep reaching, Georgie. And once again, when the banter wasn't going your way, what did you do? Any in this century?
That wasn't crapping; more like constipation. And thanks for making my point yet again. Any in this century?
I was having fun with the give and take but you've copped your "attitude" again and now I think I'm wasting my time. Heckle somebody else.
