I think we had around 40K in the Longhorn Orange/White game, although one of the writers said that if that was 40K then.....well you know.

But then of course we save our best for the regular season! :)

Irish Spring game (with Aloe) will be Apr 24, game time temp expected to be 45 according to long range forecast. I doubt if we'll have much more than 30K or so, even with Kelly being a new guy and the usual excitement.

If I knew the temp would be in the 60's it'd be tempting to go and see if I could get Sid to come down for a few rounds of golf at Warren Golf Club, dollar a hole, 5$ eagles. :)

I caught that one, Terry.

I would love to play golf with you at Warren. I've never played there. BUT...my game sucks. I just haven't played much the past couple of years. I'd be easy pickins.

I'll be going to the spring game if Brian goes. He gets his tickets and VIP pre-game lunch passes through the Monogram Club. At this point I think he's going but it's not definite.

Buckeye spring game will be week from next next Saturday,April 24th. Admission is $5.00 per person.

If the weather is good, I would not be surprised to see 60,000-70,000 fans.

Tressel always is in control of the spring game with his own special rules. I can not rememberd the last full contact game.

I think for the most part coaches really don't care much for the Spring game, but realize that it's important to the fans so they do their best to give the fans a show while protecting their players from unecessary injury...ergo the special rules like red jerseys on QB's, no blitzing, base defense offense only etc.

So who came out on top for the QB position at Alabama kp? McElroy retain his #1 slot and enhance it or did the young freshman make a lot of progress?

McElroy still no. 1, and redshirt freshman made a lot of progress. True freshman coming in did well and sophmore had a good day also. Not bad. I will be surprised if offense is not dominant this year. That is not my preferred status. I would rather have the defense be the dominant side but this is year is a reload for the defense.

Wow, reloading with 8 returning starters on defense? Just WOW!
