Ammo Manufacturer Comes Up With The Ultimate Jihadi-Deterrent: Pork-Infused Bullets… American ingenuity at its finest. (AmmoLand) — You’ve probably already heard about the bizarre, Islamist slaughter of an off-duty British soldier in broad daylight on a busy street in London in May 2013. The two assailants struck the victim with a car then jumped out and began hacking and slashing him with knives and a meat cleaver. The murderers then strutted around the victim’s body for 15 to 20 minutes until armed police arrived, upon which the self-proclaimed jihadists launched an assault on the police and were shot. Most strange is the way that the attackers waited around after the slaughter, strutting and bragging, but not particularly threatening or attempting to harm any of the onlookers, until armed police units finally arrived, at which point the murderers commenced what could only be characterized as a suicide attack – having brought knives to a gunfight. Many have asked why the attackers just waited around for the armed police. Why didn’t they flee or continues attacking others, as one might expect from a couple of crazed murderers? What were they waiting for? The answer to that question is very significant. These men were waiting for their tickets to Paradise – and 72 virgins. They engaged in their act of jihad, killing an “infidel aggressor, enemy of Islam,” and then waited around for the armed police to show up so they could die in battle for Allah’s glory, martyrs, and therefore elected for special rewards in Paradise. [...] A company in northern Idaho has come up with a culturally sensitive solution. Jihawg Ammo has developed a proprietary system for infusing ballistic paint with pork. The special pork-infused paint is then applied to the bullets of loaded ammunition. The inclusion of pork in the paint makes the bullets haraam, or unclean. Under Islamic law, anyone who comes in contact with any haraam item is then unclean, and must engage in a cleansing ritual. No unclean person can be admitted into Paradise. Do not pass Go. Do not collect 72 virgins. The objective of Jihawg Ammo is not to insult Muslims, nor even to send a terrorist to Hell. The objective is to serve as a deterrent – to place the promise of instant passage to Paradise into doubt in the minds of would-be jihadists. Without the promise of Paradise, how many Muslim literalists would be willing to lay their lives – and eternal souls – on the line in order to engage in acts of terrorism? http://www.ammoland.com/2013/06/new-ammo-cancels-free-ticket-to-terroist-paradise/#axzz2WE1nlXlh
Unfortunately, it seems the interpretation of Sharia law is a matter of convenience, so I doubt any use of logic within their own "defined" rules will burst any true believer's bubble of insanity. Similar to trying to discuss facts with the true believers of liberality in the US.
West Virginia: 14-Year-Old Boy Who Refused To Remove NRA Shirt In School Facing 1 Year In Jail After Prosecutor Moves Forward With Case… Update to this story. At some point sanity is going to prevail in this case, right? Via WTRF: Suspended and arrested after refusing to change his NRA shirt. Today, 14-year-old Jared Marcum appeared before a judge and was officially charged with obstructing an officer. A $500 fine and up to a year in jail, that’s the penalty that Jared could face, now that a judge has allowed the prosecution to move forward with it’s obstructing an officer charge against him. “Me, I’m more of a fighter and so is Jared and eventually we’re going to get through this,” Jared’s father Allen Lardieri said. “I don’t think it should have ever gotten this far.” The Logan County Police Department initially claimed that the at-the-time 8th grade Logan Middle School student was arrested for disturbing the education process, obstructing an officer and Lardieri says that officers even went as far as threatening to charge Jared with making terroristic threats. “In my view of the facts, Jared didn’t do anything wrong,” Ben White, Jared’s attorney said. “I think officer Adkins could have done something differently.” Prosecuting attorney Michael White refused to respond to any questions, as did Logan Police. We obtained official court documents from both sides of this case. On one hand, the arresting officer from the Logan City Police Department, James Adkins, claims that when Jared refused to stop talking, that hindered his ability to do his job, hence, the obstruction charge. On the other side, Ben White points out that nowhere in the arresting officer’s petition, does it mention Jared ever making any threats or acting in a violent manner.
Washington State Man Arrested For Illegally Firing Shotgun To Ward Off Intruders, Cites Joe Biden’s Advice In His Defense… <iframe width="640" height="360" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/Qv63D6hJU_Y?feature=player_embedded" frameborder="0"></iframe> Then again, only an idiot would take advice from Joe Biden. VANCOUVER, Wash. (KOIN) – A Vancouver man who fired a shotgun to chase away alleged car prowlers off his property was arraigned in Clark County Court Wednesday. Fifty-two-year-old Jeffery Barton plead not guilty to one count of illegal aiming or discharging a firearm. Barton reportedly admitted to deputies that he fired his weapon while chasing away people who he thought were breaking into his vehicles at 5804 NE 124th St. in the early morning hours Monday. Deputies have been investigating whether a large teen party that got out of control at a neighbor’s home may have been linked to the shooting. However, at this point, deputies have said there was no evidence of prowlers on Barton’s property. Outside the courtroom Wednesday, Barton cited the vice president in defense of his actions. “I did what Joe Biden told me to do,” Barton told KOIN. “I went outside and fired my shotgun in the air.” Barton was referring to a question and answer session the vice president had in February. “If you want to protect yourself, get a double-barreled shot gun,” Biden said at the time. “I said ‘Jill, if there’s ever a problem, just walk out on the balcony here… put that double-barreled shotgun and fire two blasts outside the house,’” Biden went on to say.
“Gun-Controlled” Chicago: 6 Shot Dead, 17 Wounded In Shootings Since Friday Via Chicago Sun-Times: Six men were killed and at least 17 people — including a 6-year-old girl — were wounded in shootings across the city since Friday night. Asked Sunday about Chicago’s reputation in the wake of another violent weekend, Mayor Rahm Emanuel said he’s primarily “concerned about the safety and security of our neighborhoods, and our residents.” He again pushed for a three-year sentencing minimum for gun crimes — calling it the “weak link” in the city’s crime-fighting strategy. And he said it’s time to replace the “code of silence” with a “moral code.” http://www.suntimes.com/21432160-761/6-dead-17-wounded-in-shootings-since-friday-night.html
Imagine that... pushing for stiffer sentencing for gun crimes. Criminal activity is what should be the focus here. Meanwhile, in Cedar Park Texas, The Gun Show is next weekend where we are still free to act responsibly with firearms.
Tom I acted responsibly this weekend and purchased a Kel-Tec 22 magnum semi-automatic. This thing weighs 14 oz and comes standard with two 30 round magazines. There's also a two year wait to get one because of demand.
I have been considering this same firearm. It is the Keltec PMR-30. I iw not much of a self defense tool though. The small size projectile with the high muzzle velocity of the magnum means that it will probably go right through someone with minimal damage unless it gets a direct hit on a vital organ. With that said, I do occasionally carry a S&W 351PD. It is a feather light .22 WMR wheel gun.
I bought it for the fun of shooting and critter control (rabid coons, wild hogs and such). Besides I have a 40 cal S&W and 45 cal H&K to make large holes with. But the truth is I have become a wimp as I have gotten older and enjoy quieter, non-kicking guns these days....One let down because I have not purchased rim-fire ammo in years is how expensive it currently is. We all know ammo has gotten crazy since Obama took office but rim-fire ammo was what you learned on as a kid and not real ammo. Yikes its expensive "if" you can find it at all...
I bought up ammo when it was cheap. I bought ammo that I didn't even have a gun to shoot it at the time. 9mm and 45... I could be considered a hoarder. 8)
