The officiating crew from last weeks Florida - Arkansas has been suspended. SEC Officiating Crew Suspended
They'll be back for late season games? Gee don't you hope they'll do some of your games? Why not just can them permanently or put them into some sort of retraining program. Also I hope they are running extensive background checks on those guys to make sure that they haven't become entwined with gamblers.
Corey, no doubt that question might come to mind. However another thought one might have is gee why don't more conferences take the approach of holding their referee's accountable. I guess it's according to what perspective you want to come at the situation. Seeing the SEC as bad or seeing them as handling things well.
You mean... like the Pac10 suspending the officials that did the Oklahoma Oregon game? Pac-10 suspends officials
PAC10 should have suspended the guys who called the Stanford/ND game a couple of years ago when they stole David Grimes spectacular catch away from him. But instead after having their pupils dilated and putting on dark glasses the PAC10 said they made a good call. ********! They were just protecting their own. On the Oregon/OU game I'll bet they wouldn't have suspended the crew if the Gov of Oklahoma hadn't gotten into it along with OU threathening to cancel the next years return match in Norman along with all future contracts with PAC10 teams. Pluuuzzzzzzzzzzzeee...lets not annoint PAC10 officals as anything other than what they are ...Theiving Bastards!! Don't forget it was Pac10 officals who perfected allowning Pac10 teams to score without the football!!
Don't get me wrong T, I think they are as corrupt and whiny as any group of officials out there. But let's not get ahead of ourselves praising the SEC for doing anything cutting edge.
BTW- There was no return trip to Oklahoma.... 2007: 9-4-0 Coach: Mike Bellotti Houston Michigan Fresno St. Stanford (CA) California Washington St. Washington Southern California Arizona St. Arizona UCLA Oregon St. South Florida 2008: 10-3-0 Coach:Mike Bellotti Washington Utah St. Purdue (IN) Boise St. (ID) Washington St. Southern California UCLA Arizona St. California Stanford (CA) Arizona Oregon St. Oklahoma St. Attached is a link to future Oregon football schedules thru 2019.. No Sooners in sight. I see Tennessee, KState, Colorado, Georgia, Texas A&M but no Sooners.
Furthermore... thru that same time frame, Oklahoma doesn't have a single Pac10 opponent on their schedule. The Sooners did whack Washington last year. Then they had the loss to Oregon.. They also beat Oregon in the Holiday Bowl, of course that same year they got their ass kicked by UCLA 41-24. The year before that, ole Big Game Bob got his ass kicked by USC 55-19. Maybe they should duck those Pac10 teams
[quot "IrishCorey" Said, Don't get me wrong T, I think they are as corrupt and whiny as any group of officials out there. But let's not get ahead of ourselves praising the SEC for doing anything cutting edge.[/quote] First Corey, no one is asking for praise and finding one other case of suspension, that happened three years ago, doesn't mean much either. Actually Corey I think your statement could have ended
Dan Mullen publically criticised the SEC replay offical who failed to overturn the call on the Int for a TD that sealed the Gator win. Mullen says it is clear that the MSU kid stripped the ball from the Gator and they should have had the ball on the 20 yd line instead of the Gators getting the TD. Bad Call?
I could not believe the replay confirming the TD when it happened. I don't care if it was a Gator or a Vol or anyone else... When you showboat I hope you get egg in your face. I thought that it may be my desire to see a showboater lose the ball. Now it appears that I was right.
