That celebration penalty against UGA was ludicrous.

I'll really laugh if the one against LSU pays off the other way.

    Both those calls were terrible.

Like I've said about SEC refs, I sometimes think they think we go to the game to see them and not the football teams.

Although I had picked LSU, I thought the call against UGA was the most pathetic call of the year so far. I was glad to see the make up call on the more obvious celebration call on LSU.

With that said, I think the call against UGA was simply unsportsmanlike conduct without specifying excessive celebration. Could have been something he said but how would you have heard it?

I'm all for sportsmanship in games, and refs keeping things under control, but you have to take into account the emotion of the moment.
Those guys were no where near the LSU players so what could he have said?

Just a bad call that probably changed the outcome.

    Corey... I HATE white helmets...
Told the wife we'd suck because of the all white. 8)

Uh....we don't.....but they think so unfortunately.

The league needs to review this B/S penalty and the arbitrary way it is enforced.

It's a truly terrible rule, one that had good intentions at one time...but it's gone horribly wrong and I believe it cost the ND the UM or at the very least was a factor.

ND has had this called this against them twice against Michigan.. I believe they've had it called at least once more in the past 5 or 6 years that had a potential effect on the outcome of the game.

I don't see it as a really difficult rule to enforce.

If a player (or group) is making premeditated gestures or taunting the crowd, you throw the flag.

If he's celebrating WITH teammates ... no flag.

I just hope the stripers don't rear their ignorant, ugly heads this coming Sat. in Baton Rouge and let their ineptitudes, bad judgements or worse have a direct bearing on the outcome of what should be a great SEC battle.

What's taunting the crowd? That's the rub. It's a horrible rule, good intent, but unevenly and unfairly enforced all across football. I'd rather let the players taunt the crowd.
