The Georgia Bulldogs entered the tourney with a record of 12- 16. First they beat a NCAA tourney bubble team Mississippi in OT on Thursday.

That put them against the number 2 seed in the East, Kentucky in a game scheduled for last night. As many of you may know the Atlanta Georgia Dome was hit by a tornado Friday night and the Georgia and Kentucky game was canceled and rescheduled today at the Georgia Tech gym in Atlanta.

So since the semi finals were also today the winner of the Georgia and Kentucky game would have to play a second game tonight. Georgia again pulled an upset in OT against Kentucky.

After a few hours rest they took on West Champ Miss State who had beat Alabama in OT last night.

Georgia pulled their third upset and will now play Arkansas for the SEC championship tomorrow. Georgia's record is now 15-16.

What a tough way to make the finals. I think I will have to root for Georgia to pull their 4th straight upset tomorrow and win the tourney. They deserve it after having to win two games in one day.

    Tailback must be happy.

A number of upsets yesterday in the SEC, Big 12 and Big Ten. Maybe thats why they call it March Madness! :p

Good point Don. It might also be called March Madness when a team with one of the worst records in the NCAA plays three games in two days, all against teams that are either going to the NCAA or on the bubble and beats them all, two of them in the same day.

    Gutty performance.

For some reason I seem to remember Tailback saying he only cares about Georgia Football.

Georgia does it 66 - 57. I was one off on their record they are 17-16 meaning they started the tournament 13-16.

All I can say is wow, they sure did it the hard way. And lead the whole way today being up close to 20 points in the first half.

    Congratulations to the Dawgs.

It will be interesting what seed that Georgia gets, based on their season they certainly should be a 12 or lower, maybe even 14 seed. Probably the lowest seeded SEC Champ in history.
