Not many people talking about this one, but Missouri is not a bad team. They have 2 defensive linemen that are really good, and Mauk is one of those guys that if he gets hot can be very dangerous. If Alabama shows up and plays their game, I am confident we will win, however if we try stupid onsides kicks and turn the ball over, and Sims has one of his off days we are vulnerable. Anyway, Alabama needs to win and move on.
I heard Mo. is fired up cause Kiffin was quoted as saying that if the Tide wins they were going around "all night long" saying "Show Me".... "Show Me".....
Missou makes you beat them, typically. Pinkel is a Don James guy and I think that reflects in his coaching style. It'll be interesting to see how this all shakes out. Pretty much no one is giving Missouri a chance to win this game.
Great job by Alabama. They left no doubt. Ohio State is making a major statement. Honestly, I don't see how a B12 team gets in if Florida State holds on against GTech.
yep Alabama played well. It was interesting the Missouri coaching staff did not dispute the targeting call and even agreed that it was a penalty and apparently has not tried to use it as an excuse. Kind of rare these days.
I don't see how anybody could dispute that call. That was like the call on ND's freshman LB Nyles Morgan in the Louisville game, even Kelly said in his press conference afterwards that it was a clear violation and that he has to be smarter. Said he had a clear shot and didn't have to hit him that way, cost his team.
Missou is generally a class act. I hated to see that hit, but kids do dumb things. I'm just glad everyone is okay.
