A few weeks ago someone posted - I don't recall the topic or who posted (Terry O?) - that there was a newspaper article saying he was leaving, but there was no corroboration from him or Michigan. This morning I saw written confirmation that he is going to transfer to a school closer to his Texas home. This won't mean much to the folks from the southern/western schools, but I saw him play this season vs. ND and he looked awfully good.
I think this kid had a lot of drama surrounding him during his recruitment as well... a lot of changing his mind. Don't count on his next stop being his last.
I don't blame him..... <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/2ic2oesw1KY&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/2ic2oesw1KY&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
Rumors are swirling that McGuffie is going to A&M if we want him. Sounds like he has some issues, but we're so bereft of talent right now I'll take anyone that isn't a bail risk! :?
Supposedly besides homesickness, he's had a number of concussions and there is concern about that and whether or not it's safe for him to continue to play. Theoretically he should have done very well in RR system, big backs aren't needed, fast backs are needed. McGuffie is fast.
McGuffie <t>Too bad he can't stick around as the Irish kick his ass again for the next three years too. Sorry, no sympathy for a former Michigan player from me. We got enough problems of our own.</t>
Actually, Tim, he played pretty well against us. For that reason, I'm glad to see him go. I did not know about the concussions. That certainly would be an issue for a running back.
