The "jinx" is not an instant happening, Joel. It's like a ghost lingering in the air. You know it's there. You just don't know when it's going to strike. I don't read SI so I don't know when the Red Sox were on the cover. Was it after the WS? If so, the ghost will be in the air next season. For the Patriots, the season is only half over. For the Celts......well....who cares?

:D :D :D Sid a jinx is usually a short term situation that happens instantly. By next baseball season it is gone. As opposed to a CURSE..As in THE CURSE OF PAYROD which will linger with NY for probably 97 more years. ( See THE CURSE OF THE BAMBINO). jiffer

Is that a serious headline? The Yankees actually are offering him arbitration?

I think the Yankees are the only one will to pay for/tolerate this sideshow. I think others would pay for him, just not anywhere near the asking price Boras was demanding just to sit at the table.</t>

Payrod is a total scum bag.. I cant believe Jeter will put up with this Schmuck coming back to NY...and as much as I hate NY..I cant believe they would have anything to do with him.
