For the second time in three years, the Los Angeles Kings have won the Stanley Cup. In dramatic fashion, the first coast-to-coast finals went to the second OT before Alec Martinez's shot won the game. The massive party in the streets downtown is just beginning. WOW!
Slava Voynov is the only Russian on the roster. There's been only 1 American captain to hoist the Cup twice. The Kings Dustin Brown. As for the series, the Kings were much better than the Rangers but Lundquist is hands down the best keeper on the planet. Without that guy, the Kings light the lamp 5 times in each game of a 4 game sweep. I thought the best team we faced in the playoffs was the Blackhawks, and the 2nd best team was the Ducks. I can't imagine how bad it is to be a Sharks fan. They literally build that team to beat the Kings and can't do it.
I agree with all of Corey's comments. Go Kings Go! Kingsmania is really spreading here. We ordered pizza while we were watching the game and the delivery boy shows up wearing a Kings hat and spreading the good news about Kings hockey at every door he knocks on...
