This was interesting.... I'm doing my job today.....I talk.....I make conversation.....I'm curious.... I deal a lot with SSN's.....always have.....over the years I have become pretty good at Identifying area's of the country by the first 3 digits...and I strike up conversations based on area's of the country they're from, my interest in them, and my association, i.e., have I been there?, stationed there?, etc. My customer service I provide is equivalent to the area of the country you obviously we're born in, or applied for your SSN #..... .i.e., when I know they're from Florida or SEC country, they're not that impressed with my customer service.....sorry.....I'd say it was a character flaw, but I'd be lying......BUT THAT'S NOT THE POINT OF THIS STORY NOW IS IT? Anyway, it's about a retired L.A. County Sheriff's Dept employee, who I met today, who told me a very interesting story..... My job requires that the people I deal with, have to provide me with 3 official forms of I.D., recognizable by me, and authorized by the list provided, prior to me providing service. Today was the first day I've ever seen a retired California Sheriff's Dept I.D. card, which satisfied one of the list's requirements. So the conversation ensues, and I make the comment that "you probably have some pretty good story's to tell over your years of service huh?"....he said, "yeah got few"......so I said "What's one that will raise my ears?", so he told me the story about what his buddy told him over a couple of Beer's one night, after Rosie Grier visited Orenthal James Simpson in Jail. He told him that he heard O.J. confess 100% to Grier that he did it....but that's not what completely what came out after all the "Legal" processing. He say's based on what his co-worker/beer buddy told him, he believes him 100%. There's links on Google for this so nothing new, It just really caught my intrigue, and I believed his story. Yeah I know, nothing new, but thought it was worth the 15 minutes of my curiosity. But I had to ask why this wasn't recorded or admissible?....he said because of CA law regarding ministers, and jail visitors, it couldn't be used in court. I asked him if he really, Really belived his buddy.....he said, yes. He told me he heard, what he heard, very, very clearly. The problem was that it was just Rosie, me, and O.J. that heard it. He was friends with this guy for several years, and broke bread with his family. He said he had no doubt in his mind that he was telling the truth. With the way he delivered the story, I believed him also. Just thought I'd share this.
I can just read your patients's lips saying My "he was an easy one" as you walked away with your back turned.
LOL....Yeah I know guys.....but just the way the conversation and the story happened (it was just me and him in the office) was very interesting.....I guess ya had to be there....
Good story, not sure why OJ would admit that to anybody, I'll bet even his lawyers didn't want him to tell them he did it would make it awkward to defend him re why he didn't do it.
