Shout out to my Dad, Ensign Stanley J. Ryckman, US NAVY, WWII vet.

Commander of LCT-82, Eniwetok Atoll, South Pacific.

I had him here at Arlington Cemetery today to watch the Veteran's Day Ceremony, then we went with our Sons of Amvets group and he laid our wreath at the WWII memorial.

We also had vets lay wreaths at the Viet Nam Wall and Korean Memorial. Dad was our only WWII vet but we had 2 Korean and 3 Viet Nam vets.

On the way home Sunday we are stopping at the Flight 93 Memorial in Pennsylvania and laying a wreath there. Most of them weren't Vets but they didn't hesitate and struck a blow.

My grandfather, Fritz Fresonke, was in the Navy stationed in Hawaii. My uncle, Robert Kimmell, was in the Air Force I think in Thailand and Great Falls, MT. My uncle, Ronald Kimmell, was in the Air Force stationed overseas, I think in Asia. My grandfather, James Kimmell, I think was in the Navy stationed in Europe. I have no service time, but to all our service members, past-present-future, thank you.
