    Chicago, Ill. running back Robert Hughes became Notre Dame's 19th known verbal commitment when he announced earlier this evening his intention to sign with Notre Dame this February. The 5-foot-11, 230-pound running back chose the Irish over Illinois.

    Zook couldn't work his voodoo on this one. :D

    Welcome aboard Robert Hughes. The Irish now have the deepest backfield talent wise (potentially) of any since the early 90's when Holtz had us loaded to the Gills.

    Hopefully we can still pull out a couple of defensive studs. Corwin Brown is trying his best to work on Martez Wilson, who was Hughes buddy. That'd be nice.
