    He was a great pitcher, nobody remembers that the Astros had him and traded him to the O's. But that Oriole rotation with Cuellar, Jim Palmer, McNally, and Dobson will not likely ever be matched again.

    Astros thought he was washed up and traded him for Curt Blefary...who was washed up...and only lasted a year before the Astros traded him for a washed up Joe Pepitone. Sigh... :roll:

    Those Earl Weaver teams in the 69,70,71 years were really something.

    21 complete games in one season, 133 in his career. 30 career shutouts. Plus, one of the four Oriole 20-game winners in 1971. A truly memorable player.

    I agree, Terry. There never again will be a rotation like that one.
