True blue collar Champion that never got the total respect he deserved. Will always be remembered for the Hearns fight in 1985.

Never have been much of a fight fan. But Hagler was clearly a HOF type of fighter. I thought he'd mostly be remembered for the No Mas fight though.

Hagler was a great champion but I'll always have a spot for Tommy Hearns. Hagler was always a middleweight and never tried to fight up to another class. Hearns on the other hand fought in weight classes over 50 lbs winning titles in 5 different classes. What I liked most about Tommy was that his fights seldom went the distance. Someone, usually his opponent was going to be counted out. Hearn's-Hagler was 2 rounds of great slugging. Tommy got carried out that time.

Mike Tyson used to say he didn't get paid by the hour. I think Hearns subscribed to the same philosophy.
