Did you ever stop to think that if games were 8 innings the Sox would be in last place?

Wow...I just read about the pregnant lady who died in the bleachers at Fenway, that's really a tragedy. Hard to imagine it getting that hot in Boston.
The baby survived though. I can't even think of what her husband must be going through emotionally.

If the game were only 8 innings the frickin' Indians would be in first place.

Give up on the season, sell your closer for some cash, and put some young fireballer in tense situations and what the heck do you get?

Three blown saves in four games.

    Life sucks.

You mean Brad Lidge has been moonlighting for the Indians? No wonder he's struggling so much this year. :)

I left work and the game yesterday with Cleveland leading 3-0 and the Sox having done nothing. Hung out with friends last night - no tv around - so you can imagine my shock this morning when I found out the Sox had won the freaking game. Unbelievable. But that's the old motto- they'll win today if it means they can break your heart more by losing tomorrow. 8)

    God love 'em.

No dramatic comeback tonight. Davis gets his first ML save as the Tribe splits the series.

Beckett's the way-back machine. To quote a guy I know who follows the team closely, "He has one pitch and the entire league is waiting for it."
