I think Tulsa was a huge shock to the Trump campaign hopes.... ( did I hear a "duh" )...

Here's an article that sums it up:
Trump's pandemic failing is now directly impacting his campaign - CNNPolitics

Now he says he is going ahead with a rally in Arizona.... a state that has seen spiking of new cases worse than Tulsa and now 8 staffers and 2 Secret Service agents who were in Tulsa have now tested positive.
How Trump can continue this self serving dangerous course he is on with regard to holding rallys with thousands of maskless people in a shoulder to shoulder crowd is incredibly insensitive to the tragedy of the pandemic.... and I think it is beginning to really hurt his re-election chances.

Hurt his re-election chances? He has no re-election chances, rallies or no rallies. I have never seen the level of negativity by the Democrats and their allies in media, they didn't take him seriously in 2016 they thought HRC was a lock, since then it's been non-stop attacks from the Democrats and the Media. Even Lyndon Johnson didn't get this treatment when he was run out of town and decided not to run for re-election in 1968 over the Vietnam War.

BTW if by some miracle he wins, are you moving to Canada, the UK, Mexico? Given the hysteria with which you get up everyday and post here I can't imagine you lasting another 4 years as a US citizen.

Have to admit that Trump does cause hysteria amongst otherwise rational people. His campaign manager said this after Tulsa: "The fact is that a week's worth of the fake news media warning people away from the rally because of Covid".... what in the hell is "fake" about that warning?
That shows the complete disconnect Trump and his people have about what's going on with this pandemic. 120,000 American citizens are already dead and another 80,000 or more could be dead by fall and we haven't seen yet the virus spreading effects of the rally last Saturday but it's coming in the next few days or so.
And then there is underlying dread that Trump will be pulling out all kinds of stops to discredit a legit outcome of the election when he loses in Nov..... possibly thinking he can Supreme Court his way to a second term.
Biden is now saying that Trump will have to be escorted from the Whitehouse..... like the mad man that he is.

Sometimes you gotta ask.... is Trump for real?

"President Trump has come under fire for saying that he told staff to slow down testing for the disease to hide the discovery of more cases. Trump, undercutting his own staffers, said this morning that he was not kidding about the testing comments."

I hear they are going to build an Oval Office replica in Biden's basement in the event he wins. I assume we will have the shortest SOTU speeches in history to look forward to. He can only go about ten minutes before he minds fogs over, he starts mumbling, repeating himself, changing topics in the middle of a sentence, drops his head and then his wife leads him off camera.

"I don't kid, let me just tell you, let me make it clear," Trump said before leaving for Arizona. "By having more tests, we have more cases," he added.

Let me get this straight..... more tests equals more cases? Less tests equals less cases? So give less tests to get rid of the virus? How crazy is this SOB?

Yeah well according to Trump all we have to do to get rid of the virus is just quit testing..... that's crazy as a loon. But of course the loon has a whole flock of people defending his every lie and misstatement of the truth which is just as crazy or worse because they know better and yet they enable him by supporting him.

So Stu why would he say he meant it when he said in Tulsa that if they tamped down on testing there would be less cases..... when just the opposite would be true. If he wasn't being such an asshole he would have added but of course I would never recommend that because the cases wouldn't go away and the virus would run rampant without more testing instead of less.

Every post Dave makes is driven by his TDS. The country is being ripped apart by anti-American wackos with the help of inept Democratic mayors and governors. Meanwhile the BIG news is the Trump rally? How far can one head get up CNN's ahole?

The country is being ravaged by Covid-19 while you guys are roped in by Fox News Entertainment about imagined take overs by Antifa, Deep State etc etc. or other Trump promoted distractions.

5500 new cases reported from yesterday in Florida..... blowing past the previous record by 1200 which itself was a high record number. And yet Trump says he wanted less testing because new cases make him look bad.

I'm pretty damn sick of this virus and it doesn't seem to be going anywhere anytime soon.

I'm not worried sick about some confederate general statue coming down like the rest of you.... I'm worried about life getting back to normal while Trump is holding virus spreading rallies and has a guarantee in Florida in a few weeks to get an arena full of maskless delegates slobbering all over each other in a Trump sponsored Covid spreading frenzy.

While you are worried about statues me and millions of others are worried about the clown we have in the White house who is supposed to be leading us and looking out for our well being as a nation:
"Former White House national security adviser John Bolton told CNN Wednesday that he does not have confidence in President Donald Trump's handling of the coronavirus pandemic and his former boss was "turning a blind eye" at the onset of the outbreak because he did not want to hear "bad news" about his "friend," Chinese President Xi Jinping.
"I think there is an empty chair in the Oval Office, because the President did not want to hear bad news about Xi Jinping, his friend. He did not want to hear bad news about the cover-up of the virus in China, or its potential effect on the China trade deal that he wants so much. And he didn't want to hear about the potential impact of a pandemic on the American economy and its effect on his reelection. Turning a blind eye to all these early signs I think hampered the country's ability to deal with this, and continues to do so," Bolton told CNN's Wolf Blitzer on "The Situation Room."
Asked if he had confidence in Trump's handling of the pandemic, Bolton responded: "I do not.

One can worry about the excesses and negligence of Trump and the impact that Covid is having upon this nation and also worry about watching city after city suffer a breakdown of civil order. Ten years ago, if a politician suggested that police departments be abolished or defunded, their sanity would have been questioned. Now, it is a rallying cry.

Perhaps you are untroubled by mobs tearing down statues not only of those who were members of the confederacy but also of famous abolitionists, Union heroes, along with luminaries such as Lincoln, Grant Jefferson, and Washington. Laws do exist that regulate the removal of monuments and those laws have been successfully used to remove statues memorializing confederates in the past and my preference is for change to take place lawfully and not by violence.

I rarely watch Fox News but have read enough of Thomas Carlyle to not be indifferent when mobs cast aside law to achieve their goals for while mob driven passions may only sweep away statues one day, those same mob driven passions, if unchecked, may grow in ferocity and target for eradication more consequential matters that provide us the liberties we possess.

The embryonic Jacobins of today seeks to turn Washington, Madison, and Jefferson and others into infamous characters because they were slaveowners and/or racists. They then argue that the system of government these men devised and protected and which has endured for roughly 250 years should be uprooted since it is the creation of rich white supremists . So shall we toss away the liberties provided to us in the Constitution because is was found floating in the bathwater of slavery and let the political science and gender studies departments at UC Berkley and Harvard create the founding principles of our new Utopia?

Perhaps you may think it is silly for me to worry about mundane matters such as statuary destruction, looting, burning of businesses, mayhem and murder but I also think about Covid, too, and notice that experts point at the 18-30 year old age group as being the prime cause of the recent spike. Last demographic poll I checked was from Harvard that indicated this age group overwhelming supports Biden. So, Captain Ahab, shift your attention away from the orange whale as the sole object of your concern.

John Bolton laced into President Barack Obama's foreign policy credentials Saturday, saying Obama "doesn't care very much" about national security because "it's not what motivates him."

"How 'bout the war in Libya that our Nobel Peace Prize-winning president announced last week?" the former United Nations Ambassador said to laughs, adding that it "reflects a crisis in American international leadership.

THIS PROBABLY DIDN'T MAKE IT TO CNN.

Bolton rips Obama on foreign policy

Gipper I really don't see how an article about Obama in 2011 has any bearing on the bizarre behavior and failings of Donald Trump today in 2020.
George most of the crap on Fox News is crap.... conspiratorial agendas that they like to push and Trump eats that stuff up.... especially when he can use it to his advanatage or to distarct from what is really important.... like this pandemic. I am not so naive as to believe most of that ******** and I'm not entertained by it. And my attitude on it goes all the way back to Whitewater, Vincent Foster, Rush Limbaugh on Fox Radio, blowjobs in the Oval office, Karl Rove etc. etc.
Fox News Entertainment loves a good conspiracy and so does Trump.

And this coronavirus has deeply affected me in all kinds of ways short of catching it. And it's getting real old at this point and so the foolishness and disregard for the virus and public safety shown by Trump and his revelers.... as few as they were.... is hard to fathom.
