Even with the guillotine waiting to behead us Al Golden is doing something special for the University of Miami!!!

    -#1 RB in Florida
    -#1 LB in Florida
    -#1 LB in Georgia
    -#2 & #3 CB's in Florida
    - Top 3 DE Juco
    - Best OT in Dade County
    - Best OG in South Florida
    - Best WR in Broward County in Lewis

I have no idea if they stick long enough to sign the letter of intent but this coach is something special when it comes to recruiting...!

I think it's a well established fact that Golden is an outstanding recruiter. When do you expect sanctions to be given out?

Good question Terry, your guess is as good as any expert out there. I have no idea what the results will be but I am surprised we have recruited as well as we have done to date. With Ohio States penalties laid out there I expect ours to be given just before signing day...

Strong recruiting schools like Miami and Ohio State and USC haven't been impacted very much by the NCAA problems. Ohio State inspite of having nearly a year of stuff hanging over it and only recently getting a result is ranked #7 on Rivals while Miami is #6. USC is feeling somewhat of a numbers crunch due to sanctions but they are still getting top rated recruits just not the numbers.

We had a boatload of juniors leaving early for the NFL, it opened up the spots needed to entice recruits. There was a push by Golden to clean out players the last month who have not performed or lived up to the standard Miami needs to stay competitive. Supposedly Golden realized the upcoming shortfall of players the next few years and wanted to assure that what players we have on the team were able to contribute to the team in spite of scholarship reductions...

Throw UF in that mix as well.

With a 5 star commit on Sat from the US Army game the Gators and Muschamp are ranked #3 with some 5 stars still on the table.

Losing and the Meyer coaching change hasn't hurt Florida in recruiting so far.
