Picture says it all... Davin Bellamy, a four-star defensive end from Atlanta, decided to take a last minute trip to Eugene to see what the Ducks had to offer. From the looks of this photo he posted to Twitter, he received the full Oregon experience: coeds, Nike gear and bongs. Bellamy quickly deleted the photo, but Reddit sees all and never forgets. http://www.elevenwarriors.com/buckshot/2013/02/19282/careful-what-you-leave-in-that-photo-recruits[/img]
If you need further explanation, as the linked article states, it's a community based website in which people harvest links, images etc with proper tagging to keep it in line and easy to follow. The deal with aggregator sites like this is that there are people who run bot programs out there that harvest items posted from various feeds (Twitter, news sites, blogs etc) so nothing ever truly escapes or gets deleted. The second you hit send, someone has it downloaded and posted to a site like Reddit. Reddit is actually pretty cool in that they require a certain element of quality and authenticity that is lacking on other aggregators on the internet. For example, Reddit does not consider Gawker sites (such as Deadspin) to be a viable news source since it is effectively nothing more than an internet tabloid that doesn't fact check the stories or articles they post. You can pretty much find anything on Reddit.
