I like everything I hear out of Ron Paul. In this two party system, it is almost impossible for him to get the votes. Most votes he will get will be from conservitave America and will detract from the votes against Obama.

IMO he's way too far to the right to be electable as president. He certainly makes sense on some vital issues. On others he's on an island, albeit a well populated island. I respect him for his views, regardless of which ones (not all) with which I might disagree.

Paul is a libertarian, not a conservative. He doesn't believe in having any government at all and his foreign policy ideas are just not good IMHO.

I respect your opinion Jim and that of Sid as well. However, even though he is a libertarian, most, if not all of his ideas appeal to the conservative side of the spectrum.

I'm going to sound like a BAMA fan here. We need to dig up Reagan and use his DNA to clone a President. Heck, the Bear wouldn't be bad either. Dig him up and combine the Reagan and Bryant DNA. Get a little of Neyland at the same time... maybe some Patton as well!

Now let me go get the hot coffee to bring me out of the bottle!  8) 8)

    (1) There's 2 much Govt, period. We have micro-managed and created posistions in Government that are basically said, uneeded. You knew we were in trouble when when needed a Consitution and a 120+ ammendments to back up a simple set of Commandments.

    (2) I'm not worried about the age thing for Paul. Some of the smartest people I know are old people...alot of them right here...
He seems smart enough to surround himself with the proper people to aid and consult with him in matters of world and local issues/politics. Plus he was a former military officer, which tells me he has bearing, patriotism, and integrity above and beyond the others....specifically the Bozo in office right now, or the self serving, pajama wearing, religious zealot we have to pick from....mistakes both of them....I would rather see Barry voted in again than deal with Good Golly Mitt Romney. Of the available candidtaes, I'm only comfortable with the plain focus of Paul.

    HH,

If you come out with personal attacks on Bozo again, I will have to give you a time out! Way too good of a clown to be associated with that half a$$ed stooge we have now. 8)

Moe, Larry, Curley, Joe, Shemp, any ole stooge but the one we have!

:( What harm could this do? after a day listening to Obama.... the harm is breaking up the conservatives and handing the White house back to Obama without a struggle. Dont know about you but Jim and I cant afford any more tax's and the tax on our dividends would hurt us ,,, If we sold out house to move closer to his job the new tax would take what little profit we have left in the house ( and yes Dave little profit we have lived in our home for 32 years),, If the converservatives are not willing to unite then we are screwed. Dont think I can take 4 more years of Obama and socialisim I was raise an American and I would like to keep it that way... Thanks AJ I am now totally depressed.
