Sideline Official Arrested Stalking Suspect Arrested After UGA Game POSTED: 2:59 pm EDT September 12, 2007 CLARK COUNTY, Ga. -- A man who worked the sidelines at University of Georgia football games has been arrested and charged with felony stalking. Athens-Clarke County Police arrested Roger Swain after the UGA/South Carolina game last Saturday. Authorities said the 52-year-old used his job on the sidelines to meet a woman and then he continually called and harassed her. An independent contractor hired Swain to hold ball markers and move chains at Sanford Stadium. Swain was convicted of misdemeanor stalking in 2006. Officials said Swain violated his probation because he tried again to contact the victim several times. Officials said when a convicted stalker violates probation by contacting their victim, police upgrade the stalking charge to aggravated stalking, which is a felony.
