    Amen Jiffer.....he was never among my favorites, but he was as much a part of my mornings for at least the last decade as the sunrise.....thoughts and prayers to him, his family and the CNBC staffers

    I saw that and I'm very sad. I've watched him every morning before I go to work for 20 years. I was a big fan. In an era of BS artists, he just sat there and told the truth, taunting the liars whenever he could...

    Mark was a news anchor here in Providence before going to CNBC.

    That he did JO'Co, that he did.....some of my favorite Haines moments were the typical interview he conducted with Barney Frank.....oftentimes resulting in Barney ripping out his earpiece and storming off camera after Haines hoisted the ******** flag for all the world to see.....

    I really liked the guy. When he smiled he had a twinkle in his eye and looked like a leprechaun. He was out of the Tim Russert school of interviewing. Like Jim I used to watch him every morning until he took the later shift. He was way too young.

    :( this house hold was very sad today we really liked Mark loved the way he made idiots squirm loved what he did to Barnie Frank and oh course the French Learned all about the market from him too.... Felt really bad for all his coworkers. they handled everything so well today what a nice tribute to the man and his work ethics. :cry:
