    yeah he was a really great player, a lot of HOF on those giants teams, also vince lombardi and tom landry.

    Seems like he, Dandy Don, and Howard were such a big part of our lives in the 70'2 and 80's. Now they're all gone. Turn out the lights, the party's over.....

    Growing up, I always would listen to the old folks (aunts, uncles, grandparents) talk when a star athlete or entertainer passed away. It really never impacted me, except to start enjoying the classics. Now, the ones that are passing are great ones that I had personal experiences with, and it's depressing. I never knew Frank Gifford as anything but an announcer, but he was always there. Peace.
