...Just read the latest NU recruiting SITREP...it's gettin' bright up in here! Here's a clip on Tommie Armstrong from Cibolo, TX....NU's next Heisman... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JgwuqhRW4q4 No 5-stars yet, but we're gettin' an ass load of 4-stars like we've haven't experienced since the '90's... Here are the Huskers 4-stars if you use Scout, Rivals, ESPN and 247: Tommie Armstrong (Scout) Paul Thurston (Scout, Rivals, ESPN) Zaire Anderson (Rivals) Mohammed Seise (Rivals) Greg McMullen (Rivals & 247) Jordan Westerkamp (Rivals & 247) Michael Rose (247 & ESPN) For a total of seven 4-star rated players from the four recruiting services.... Westerkamp just made a visit to ND at the urging of his mom, but still say's he's honoring his pledge to NU.
Gators got two commitments this week from Junior College DE's. Both 4 stars. We have 18 commits for an average of 3.72 on both Rivals and Scout. However there are some differences in the two ratings. 18 total commitments right now. But things are looking good on that front. Good thing as we have less than 70 players on scholarship right now.
Huskerman, Glad you are doing so well recruiting, I have a feeling you are going to need everyone of them next fall!
I looked at Rivals and you guys only have that 1 guy from Texas are you not recruiting Texas anymore? Also you only have 9 guys with verbals, that's a pretty low number for this late in the game, are you low on available scholarships?
Were just selective Doc. Bo get's what he wants/needs and doesn't worry about oversigning. The one Kid from TX (Armstrong) will be a FANTASTIC fit at NU. With the troubles at OSU and PSU, we should be able to pick up on some good players in the next month or two. Remember, in todays times it isn't who got to the kid first anymore, it's who sells him last.
The word is that we've signed alot of players that play better in the 2nd half Don....we should be fine come October.....
