QB Controversy @ UCLA?

    Former high school all-world Ben Olsen, a 23 yr old redshirt soph after tranferring from BYU and going on a a 2-yr mission, is not being handed the job on a silver platter. Since UCLA is on ND's schedule this season (the Sky box get-together game), I thought my fellow Irish might be interested:

    Seems smart, given that injuries have waylaid the UCLA starter 2 years in a row to pro, to prepare 2 qbs in fall camp. Esp since neither one of them are the returning starter.

    There's no controversy out here. This is all Bruin BS. Ben Olsen is the starter. Head Coach Karl Dorrell is just keeping up the appearances of fairness and open competition, because Cowan's brother is the star receiver on that team...
