INDIANAPOLIS -- Robert Marve views football a bit differently after being a spectator for a year. Marve transferred to Purdue from Miami in May 2009, then sat out last season because of transfer rules. Purdue coach Danny Hope announced Tuesday that the junior will enter practice as the Boilermakers' No. 1 quarterback and is the expected starter for the Sept. 4 opener at Notre Dame. Marve is ready to go: "I've been counting the days for Notre Dame for a long time now." http://www.miamiherald.com/2010/07/13/1728362/purdue-names-marve-no-1-qb.html
Marve is, from all reports, a tremendously talented kid..but had some issues. I wish him well, just hope it takes him awhile to get comfortable back on the field!!
marve <r>Can't wait to have him in SB for the home opener. Unfortunately for him, he will not win in his first start for purdue. <E>8)</E></r>
