The Tigers were fortunate that Rivera hurt his back tying his shoes in the club house or the Yankees would have swept a four game series in Detroit for the first time since 1926. We hit the big-boys portion of the schedule and, so far, things are not going so well considering that the Yankees beat us 3 out of 4 with half of their line-up being a AAA team. Next on the menu: BDR's and JIF's boys. However, we have a pretty decent team with credible hitting and a young talented pitching staff. I do not think we will not fade away in the AL Central race and, given the unbalanced schedule, have a very good shot at the Wild Card slot.
