2 former players...Billy Donovan and Jim Larranaga ( coaches)....Oh yes and Dave Gavitt..radio voice of Westwood One . Gavitt coached the 2 mentioned final 4 coaches :!: :!: :!: jif
The Big East/Northeast has some of the best coaches in the country. Look who is at UCLA and Memphis, as well as Florida. Back when PJ Carlisimo was at Seton Hall , he routinely outcoached Boeheim and Calhoun. Forgive me Bobda, but SH should have won back in 1989. We are still looking for that non existant touch foul on Rumeal Robinson from the top of the key. Louie Carnessecca at St Johns.. another one who would typically school Boeheim & Calhoun. Who can forget the guy at Princeton. What's his name... another great coach who could win with less talent. There have been some great coaches in the Big East and Northeast who to this day continue to be among the top coaches in the country. Too bad OSU fired O Brien. They lost a good one.
