Thought I'd start something to let Joel have somewhere he can feel at home! :)

Texans...man that Bill O'Brien is a genius. He traded Ryan Fitzpatrick and kept 1 bumpkin and traded for another bumpkin to replace him. In a QB centric league we have none.

Jets...they have a competent qb in Ryan Fitzpatrick, and where did that defense come from?

Andrew Luck...what's going on with him?

Manning...Joel's 2nd favorite QB. Watching him this year is painful. I think it's got to be his last. He's still a very heady QB, but the arm isn't there any more. Maybe its residual from that injury last year. He started out last year really well, but after the injury he lost a ton of zip on his throws and was not good late in the season. Seems to have carried over to this year.

:D I feel very much "at home" here, Doc, with my friends of almost 21 years now! Yes Fitzy...the old Ivy Qback is doing well for Jets. Manning cant go deep anymore..he should probably hang his cleats up.

Should be a fun year. oh...I see where Rexy and Bills are claiming Brady was using some sort of sticky substance on his glove hand..I suppose to give him better release control. Bring on the JAGS !

Now that Johnny Manzel has a win under his belt and a couple of very nice TD passes I wonder if he'll seize control of the job from McCown? I'm sure the Browns would be happy if that happens.

Jets had one of the best DL in the NFL last year. THey added Leonard Williams to that group. They have a fast set of LBs and added Cromartie and Revis deep.

    Might as well weigh in:

Wow, Chip Kelly might be in big trouble in Philly. Now in charge of personnel, he's put together one pathetic offense. The Eagles are last in the NFL in rushing.
In second to last place are the Detroit Lions. Like the Eagles they have a poor O line. Lion's runners rushed for 18 yds. in 12 carries against the Vikes while Matt Stafford scrambled 4 times for 20. Stafford was so beaten up in the game that he's questionable for next week. Without Suh, the Lions don't pressure the opposing QB and their human pylons in the D backfield are being toasted.
Swirling around the bowl are the NO Saints. I got to watch them last weekend as they played the local Tampa team. Breese Looked no where near the Super Bowl winning QB he once was. There's some reports that he has a rotator cuff injury. Like the Lions and Eagles, the Saint's O line is porous.
I can't help thinking that the Giants might be the best team in the NFC East although they are 0-2. Meanwhile leading the division are the Cowboys who beat the near dead Eagles and the brain dead Giants. Their luck has run out with Romo's injury.
The big showdown between Rex Ryans Bills defense and the Pats turned out to be a smackdown. The Pats managed to win without doctoring the balls or disrupting Buffalo's communications.

Gip, I'm surprised you didn't include the Colts among your swirlies. The talk around here is that Andrew Luck is playing like not-very-good Andrew Luck. in addition to a patchwork, porous O-line. We're 0-2 and have lost to two teams (Bills and Jets) that we were expected to beat. In truth, I was very impressed with the Jets' D. They have a good team, and Fitzpatrick is a good QB. Last night, he was much better than Luck.

I left the Colts and Seahawks out. Both are off to poor starts but might yet recover. You're so right about the Colts O line.

If you could just get them to move to Mexico, they'd be in LA in no time. :)

Seahawks got away with one last night on the batted ball in the endzone.

I know there are rules with regards to when and what can be reviewed. So I guess the Lions didn't have a challenge left or that was not a challengeable play. I know a lot of people hate the review process, and I don't think coaches should have unlimited challenges, they'd challenge just about every call at that point. But it's too bad that plays that change a game like that one can't be reviewed, and overturned.

That non-call cost me a win in my fantasy league.

Lions score as they should have then Wilson ( my qb ) gets the ball back and flings it down the field.

As it was I tied.... so one stinkin point and I would have won.... :x

No surprise to me about that no call last nite. After last year's Lions-Dallas game I expect the Lions to get hosed in games against top teams. They only reviewed enough of the play to confirm the Lions didn't score a potential winning TD

Joels Patriots look like they could make another run at a perfect season. I guess this will help soothe the disappointment of the Red Sox season.

Bronco's are undefeated, but they don't look undefeated in the same way the Pat's look.

Patriots still have to play the Jets twice. I don't see a sweep.
