I turned the tv on at 2 o'clock to get a pre game show for the football game. It was on ESPN from where I had watched basketball last night. The PBA tour was on and a woman, Kelly Kulick was bowling against the men. I haven't watched much bowling for a number of years and had kind of lost track of when it was on. But I decided to watch. It was the semi final match and Kelly could cinch and move to the finals by striking out, she did. Then she took on Cliff Barnes, a future Hall of Famer, and blew him away with a 265 game. Unbelievable. I know bowling isn't as popular sport as others but it's always been my favorite sport to participate and I am glad I was able to watch this historic match. Congratulations Kelly! Oh, she earned a two year exemption to the tour.
Bowling is like golf to me. it's a lot of fun but I've been drunk nearly every time I did it so I don't really remember all that much. I could see this as a sport in which gender wouldn't matter though.
Corey, in the past men used heavier bowling balls and that mattered. However I am discovering that these days lighter balls do just as well. Int has to do with the materials the balls are made of and the lane condition. This lady had a beautiful delivery of her ball and I think she may be able to continue to compete with the men.
Thanks George, I like the Gator too. But I saw one that I want to see if I can copy and use also. But this guy is pretty good. He's laid back until he has to attack. As far as football goes that isn't until next Sept. I hope he gets a bit riled up for our basketball team though.
