Jobs...... When was the highest employment rate? Employment Rate in the United States averaged 59.24 percent from 1948 until 2020, reaching an all time high of 64.70 percent in April of 2000 ( Clinton ) and a record low of 51.30 percent in April of 2020. ( Trump )
I think that the unemployment rate should be attributed to Cuomo, Murphy, Whitmer, Newsome, et al. all of whom have locked down their economies to the point that tens of thousands have been in food bank lines.
A complete and utter failure to handle the pandemic is why we are still having shutdown issues across the country and a disaster that could get worse with college football that could have far reaching long term effects on all college scholarship sports. Being so wrapped up in his reflection in the mirror and his re-election chances has caused Trump to politicize Covid-19 with regard to safe mitigation amongst his supporters and in too early reopening in some places like Florida before the virus was under control.
Here in NJ Murphy has locked down restaurants, bars, theaters, all sports, gyms and schools for five months now. Now he finally will allow schools to re-open for partial in person schedules and lo and behold, the teachers don't want to teach and the teacher's union runs this state. So it looks like remote learning for the first half of the year is a real possibility. NJ was not in good shape on March 16. Now we are economically devastated.
