For those that saw it, what a sad thing to witness. :cry:

You could just feel and see the fire in Barbaro as he was doing his warm up.

Jumped the gate in the begining, and then the tragedy in the first moments of the race. Latest news is that the surgery was succesful, however it's still touch and go as to whether Barboro will stay calm enough to get healthy. Sadly, the racing career is definitely over.

What might have been. That was a hell of a Horse.

 

Yeah I know, Brainfart, but I rebounded. Belmont goes in June.

 

Hopefully the surgery will be successfull and he can have a long career as a stud...which isn't not all that bad of a deal when you think about it!

I've noticed that also. I go back and edit myself. I don't know what the problem is.

 

The operation appears to have been a success but the vet said its only 50-50 at best that he'll survive. A really good horse who might have become one of the greats of racing.
