Well we have only seen the first chapter of that story...ie losing the state to A&M. Historically that has never been the case, there have been a few down periods where A&M was able to jump ahead of us, like when A&M brought in Jackie Sherrill and the RC Slocum it coinsided with a down period for the Longhorns and A&M took advantage, that all went away when Mack Brown arrived. Now Mack is struggling and that's not a good thing when you are his age, younger more dynamic coach at A&M who had a homerun first year seemingly has changed things...we'll see how long that lasts.
I certainly can't see the future and things do go in cycles, but I'd say the dynamics this time are very different than they have been in the past. We now have exposure like never before, and NONE of it is related to our brother school to the West. We'll also have a network set up to benefit all... instead of just one. It's been fun so far, and I think we'll try to keep it going for a while.
