It seems that the police web site was hacked and brought down plus the police chief's house was the victim of a drive by shooting in anger of the actions of the police. Now I do not endorse the stupidity of someone shooting the chief's house but the mood in small town America is "enough is enough" when it comes to Big brother "Taking Control".... To understand this reaction is not hard for most Americans no matter their location in the country. But put yourselves in small town America where you for one are normally under represented in the United States of America. You don't have the population or number of voters to cause interest in politicians. You do not have sidewalks, buses, cabs, streetcars and in most cases even fire hydrants in your town or neighborhood. Police and fireman are respected but normally a 30 minute or more drive to your area so you rely on your friends and neighbors in times of trouble not the government. So with this mindset the taxes you pay really have no impact or benefit to how you live your lives...They only take away from the bottom line of the income you make from a job that represents a percentage of the normal urban dweller. Who by the way is represented in government by his or her congressman. Just a few thoughts to ponder on... :?: :?: :?:
I saw that story on the news here and things are getting ugly all over. As I said in another section, there is a serious movement here in the rural counties, including the one that I live in, to break away from California and form a new state. The government is telling us how to raise our children; what we can eat; where and when we may plant flowers etc. What kind of a government is it that makes smoking a cigarette a crime, yet legalizes marijuana? The mood here is as ugly as I've ever seen it and politics is so polarized that people can't even discuss differences without name calling and insults...not even in the teacher's lunch room. I have a bad feeling about how all of this is going to end...
People everywhere are getting fed up with everything that has to do with government. Here in NJ police are are severely limited as to what they can do. This state is so paranoid about profiling and illegal search and siezure that criminals are released on the roadsides every hour. My son the state trooper says his job is almost impossible to do at this point.
