We are off for the MLB season. Looks like the Dead Birds in the NLC, Astros are just too thin and too many question marks.
Lincecum vs Oswalt tonight at 7:05 on ESPN just in case you aren't interested in Duke/Butler.

Season... <r>Is off and running as Sir Albert gets 4 hits, 2 HRS, Cards hit three homers and win 11-6. Nice. <E></E></r>
Terry, I see that Samardzjia is on the Cubs roster. He is listed as a RP and his 2010 salary is listed as $2,000,000. Not bad.
I hear you, Sid. Considering that my two favorite stores are the Mars Cheese House in Kenosha and the Butt Hutt, my lifestyle choices probably are in need of a revision.
Astros on a record pace, we started 0-9 in 1983 that could be matched or exceeded this year!! Already articles in the paper supporting the mgr, saying he's the right man for the job.
Oh what the hell Bobda....none of us are gonna make it out alive. If it feels good, do it. If it feels real good, do it again. If it feels better than that, it has to be illegal.
Holy crap I looked that place up, you have to be in the tax bracket that Obama is going to raise to be able to afford to shop there!! Looks yummy though, kind of like that bakery place that Sid posted recently (would you post it again Sid?) Terry
I have a question for anyone who may have watched the 20 inning game just completed between the Cards and the Mets. Why would the Cards use position players to pitch the last few innings? I can understand not wanting to use a starter in relief for a game in April, but it looked like they didn't have a snowballs chance in August of winning with the position players on the mound. What am I missing here? :?: RTR
