I've tried to hold my tongue as far as this lady is concerned because of her terrible loss. But as far as I'm concerned she's nothing more than a shill for the Soros crowd. To fund this latest publicity stunt with proceeds realized by the death of her son is beyond the pale; it completely disgraces his memory and cheapens his sacrifice. In my opinion she should be completely ashamed of herself. Of course, there is always the chance that she lost her friggin' mind. CRAWFORD, Texas War protester Cindy Sheehan has purchased a 5-acre plot in Crawford with some of the insurance money she received after her son was killed in Iraq. The group she helps lead, Gold Star Families for Peace, says on its Web site that it will return next month to protest the war in Iraq in the small town near Waco where President Bush has a ranch. Like last year, Sheehan, whose son Casey was killed in Iraq in 2004, will again demand to meet with the president. "We decided to buy property in Crawford to use until George's resignation or impeachment, which we all hope is soon for the sake of the world," Sheehan said in a newsletter set to be sent to supporters Thursday. "I can't think of a better way to use Casey's insurance money than for peace, and I am sure that Casey approves." Her anti-war gathering in Crawford is scheduled for Aug. 16 through Sept. 2. But Bush is scheduled to be at his ranch mainly during the first two weeks of August. Sheehan, from California, reinvigorated the anti-war movement last summer with her peace vigil, which started in ditches off the road to Bush's ranch. As it grew, the group also set up its protests on a private, 1-acre lot closer to the ranch.
Well first off I have to wonder why she bought the land, it's not next to Bush. It won't give her any rights to protest that she doesn't now possess. Secondly her statement the she knows her son Casey approves is curious since Casey chose to go back to Iraq when he didn't have to go. I wonder how her campaign for the senate in California is going? The lib/Dems have trotted out a number of these professional Black Widows since 9/11. Nothing the Democratic Party does surprises me any more, except to remind me of why I changed and joined the other party. The Republicans aren't always right, but I can't imagine them celebrating at funerals and making fun of injured/crippled veterans the way the lib/Dems do... re: senate campaign Cindy Sheehan gave up her run for the U.S. Senate back in the primaries, but her attempt was a wake-up call for moderate Democrats all over the state. The Lunatic-Left has control over all of the fund raising here in California that is not directly controlled by the labor unions. If the Lefties start attacking union backed candidates, it will lead to a split in the party which could open the door for the right/Republicans to regain control... ................TP
Nut Case update!! Cindy Sheehan Moves to Crawford, Locals Not Amused — (07/28/2006) Crawford- Anti-War Activist Cindy Sheehan is going to become a neighbor of President Bush, and local residents are not happy about the mess. On the Gold Star Families For Peace website, Sheehan explained how Central Texas had grown on her. She now wants a permanent place where she and fellow protestors can go to demonstrate against President Bush. Peace Supporter, Gerry Fonseca, says he purchased the 5-acre parcel, which cost more than $52,000. It was bought with the money frome her son, Casey's, life insurance policy. "I doubt they would have sold her the property if she tried to buy it herself," said Foncseca. "I feel deceived," said Celia Ramsey, who sold the land to Cindy Sheehan through a third party. She talked to News Channel 25 exclusively on the matter. "I would have never sold it to Sheehan. Nobody wants them here." The Ramsey's claim Fonseca told them he was an evacuee from Hurricane Katrina. Fonseca told News Channel 25 he "apologized to the Ramsey's for the inconvenience, but we (Gold Star Families For Peace) are going to do everything in our power to not disturb them." Ramsey told News Channel 25, she plans on talking to a lawyer over the matter. "I am very sad it came to this point where we had to buy a permanent home," said Sheehan. "I thought President Bush would have resigned by now. But I am happy about a permanent home in Crawford." Anti-war protesters are scheduled to gather on the Sheehan property in August, when the president vacations in Crawford for the first couple of weeks next month. Last fall, McLennan County Commissioners passed an ordinance, banning parking on roadways and other traffic and crowd control measures. A lawsuit has been filed over the matter by Cindy Sheehan and fellow protestors, alleging the ruling by county commissioners violates their First Amendment rights.
