Gee, it's a darn good thing that Brady was out for the season. Otherwise, Peyton wouldn't have had a chance to win his third MVP.
Seems to me that when Peyton left the game yesterday the Colts were ahead. And thanks to the same group that blew the lead he gave them, he never saw the field in OT. But then "it's better to have loved and lost than to have been a Pats fan."
Gip, you hit the nail squarely on the head. I'd like to strangle #55 for the facemask penalty in OT, but both my hands would not fit around his neck. The D just flat out blew it in OT because of stupid penalties. Bill Cowher made a very good point. The SD punter's phenomenal performance forced the Colts several times to start inside their 10, which is an excellent way to defend against Peyton.
What a family!!! A Super Bowl ring for each of the Manning boys, a Super Bowl MVP for Eli and Peyton the NFL MVP for the 3rd time something only Brett Farve has done! I'll bet a few more rings and MVP trophys are in store for the Mannings!! The premier QB family in history.
