Man......I was impressed with what he did last week vs. the Steelers....so impressed that I picked up TE Jacob Tamme as my FF TE and I am playing him tonight along with "go to" receiver Demaryious Thomas. Peyton seems very comfortable with Denver and they with him. The only threat I see to my fantasy stats is that Manning took a couple of good shots last week and I do see that continuing so hopefully he stays out of harms way.
Well.....two losses later this post doesn't look so wise and there's grumbling in the stands at Denver. Seems Peyton's not perfect nor does he catch passes or play defense. I'm hoping from a stat standpoint that Tamme and Thomas work out for my fantasy team.
Peyton looked like Peyton to me in the game with the Texans. Once the Denver got the turnover in the 2nd half he had the Texans defense on their heels. Threw some beautiful passes..but he was too far behind to pull off the miracle. For a guy who is 1) with a brand new team, new receivers, etc and 2) hasn't thrown a ball in competiton for over a year and finally coming off some serious surgery. He is doing very well.
