    Read the book years ago, but I have a paper due this week, and obviously this is my subject. For those that haven't read it (Stephen Ambrose), it's a fantastic account of the first boot's on the ground (0016 hrs, 6 June 1944) and the impact they had for the pending success at Normandy.

    Major John Howard...the first hero of D-Day.
