Hey it's not like the NCAA allowed OSU players' suspensions to start after the bowl game or anything like that.
lmao....nothing like the SEC seeking more than their usual complement of competitive advantages.... In truth the waiver is one that is given regularly in situations similar to ours.....
Urban knows the rules pretty well so his aggressiveness allows him to push to the limit of what he can get away with and still be within the rules. If Urbs is doing it it's probably allowed but that doesn't mean his competition is happy with it.
It's actually very straightforward.....the University requested a waiver as is standard practice in these situations and the NCAA granted the waiver with normal conditions as is also standard practice in these situations.
He's not pushing anything to any limit. OSU required a waiver and asked for it. That's not bending or pushing anything.
Just feel good that when healthy and engaged you have a coach who has will of Tim Tebow to win. And that's sayin' somethin.
Let me rephrase since you obviously didn't know how to take that or don't care if I meant well. Urban Meyer when engaged fully in his job is a fierce competitor....as is Tim Tebow. Meyer will know the rules and use every tactic and technique he can to win....as long as it is within the rules. I personally wouldn't want a coach at my school that felt otherwise. OK.....how did that go?
That's a prerequisite for the job. It goes without saying that if he's not, he's in the wrong place. But, given his roots, I'm relatively certain that he already knew that..... Nobody has more respect for Tebow than I but let's not get carried away with it....I bet you didn't know that Tim Tebow was dropped twice as a child.... once on Hiroshima and once on Nagasaki....bada bing
:?: :?: :?: :?: Now I'm really confused....[wait for it].......I thought he already did :!: bada bing....
Of course it is and I don't doubt for a moment that UM accepted the job thinking he will give it his utmost. I believe there are skeptics out there that might question whether or not he can pull it off but obviously he thinks he can. Heck if he had decided to return to Florida I would have to be counted amongst those skeptics but he must really think he has it under control this time. I know one thing.....if he is able to put his all into the job without wavering he will make life miserable for the rest of the Big 10. As far as "will to win".....for me to say he ties with Tebow in that category is giving Urban Meyer a lot of credo.
Just in case you missed the Tebow vs. Chicago Mob show last night; <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/TKkXya8jDoQ" frameborder="0"></iframe>
I have no horse in this race/topic, but I saw an interesting story this morning that fits here because I believe it's Meyer's first OSU recruit. Tommy Schutt, Penn State's top recruit for the incoming 2012 class, decommitted and committed to OSU after a visit to campus and a talk with Meyer. He originally was in the process of committing to ND, but the offer was rescinded because ND had filled its recruiting class at his position. Schutt De-commits from Penn State and Commits to Ohio State By the way, for what it's worth, I understand the waiver rule and believe it's a non-issue. I've noticed that a couple of other bowl-bound teams in the midst of coaching transitions were granted the same waiver. Illinois is one, and I can't recall the other.
