    The short answer is, no.

I can't bring up the link, but I'm aware of the law. I don't understand why or how it was passed, but obviously there are a lot of people who wanted it passed . There's a huge public outcry, and hopefully the legislature is going to address it in its next session.

The sum and substance is that it says that a citizen has a right to defend himself his property against wrongful intrusion by the police. The link above may explain all of this, but like I said I can't open it.

It's very dangerous and IMO stupid legislation, and if enacted by one or more citizens likely will result in tragic deaths of police and civilians. I hope it gets overturned sooner rather than later.

Open season on the police can't be good. Overturn this legislation.

I discussed this with my son. He predicts a lot of dead homeowners. The most prevalent calls are for domestics. Now cops will be going in to a heated situation with their guns drawn. Most homeowners, even at a relatively close range, can't hit what they are shooting at and often will hesitate because they are not trained. The cops will not make that mistake....

Your son's prediction reflects the feelings of the sensible segment of the state's citizens.

It's a bad law no doubt.
