We will be headed out in about an hour and a half for Florida. We will make a quick stop by the vet to get Cheri one of her shots and should be in Jacksonville by supper. We will be going to the game on Sat between the Gators and FSU. This game is not as big to both teams as in prior years, but it is enormous to the Gators for a couple of reasons. To preserve our chance at the BCS Championship is one. The other is that it's Tim Tebow's last game in the Swamp. He's been special to the Gators and a lot of tears will be shed at senior day Sat. Later
Have a good trip Bill! I'll be heading for Houston/College Station early tomorrow morning... hopefully to spoil Terry's T-day! 8)
Had to pay $1500.00 for replating three cars and getting Florida drivers licenses for me, my wife and my son. That's not to mention the re-creation of life expenses in establishing a new place to live in the Sunshine State while also maintaining the payments and energy expenses of a home in Michigan that sits there as an albatross around my financial neck. So much fun collectively that I have reluctantly sold my Fla-FSU tickets on StubHub. Oh well........better days ahead. One other note.....I am progressively more pissed off than ever at those who feel indifferent to the events of the last 9 years. And notice that the key word here is indifferent. If that's how you feel then to hell with ya.
Finished that last rum runner Tom......one too many I guess.... I'll go back to......"better days ahead".....and add "at least I'm on vacation on the weekends!" Happy Thanksgiving to all!
Well here it is Thanksgiving morning. Fine day at the daughters house with her, our son-in-law and her two boys, with more to arrive in the morning. Our little Cheri', all the way up to 4.3 pounds, is in a house, with a 100 pound Golden Retriever and a 65 pound Coon Hound both males. They don't know quite what to make of a dog that little. But they have been very gentle with her and she loves them. The Golden Retriever is a neighbors dog that is a guest until Friday. Happy Thanksgiving Tom, Dave, George, Scott and everyone else.
Have a great holiday, Tom. As I write this, I have at the foot of my chair our Bichon and our daughter's chocolate lab. We will be going to our other daughter's house later, where they have three dogs, including a young, rambunctious Golden. It will be an enjoyable zoo.
Not so pretty weather-wise here in the Indianapolis area. Gip (at his daughter's house near here) and I are experiencing low 30s, rain, and possible light snow.
Little 4.3 pond Cheri' is holding her own with two dogs who could swallow her whole. Good thing they have wonderful dispositions and are really curious about this little newcomer in the house. Happy Thanksgiving Sid.
Left NJ at 5A zat 60 degrees. Arrived Dayton Oh at 230P in snow flurries. WTF!! But the beers cold and the company is good.
House is full...daughters-in-law and grandbabies everywhere...only three of them but enough confusion that it seems like 20!
Thanks...we opened Christmas gifts Wed. night...then after Thanksgiving dinner on Thursday we had a baby shower... I'm so confused.
Sid, I've discovered that when you spend your life surrounded by females doing things like Christmas, Thanksgiving, showers and other activities that I've spend a good bit of my time confused. But it's good confused. So Merry Christmas, Happy Thanksgiving and hope the baby shower was great. We will be off to the game in about an hour.
