Over 10 days to two funerals, one in Michigan and one in North Carolina. Five days of driving and the funeral of my wife's cousin in Michigan and my longest term friends brother-in-law.

I didn't have much interest in discussing sports during that time but am settling back in and getting ready for football season.

Just thought some might wonder why I have been absent.

Welcome back as well Bill, five days of driving is not fun, no matter the objective.

It is almost time to play a little football isn't...

When it rains, it pours. Football can be a comfort, with it's familiar rituals and competitive jousting. Welcome back Bill. It's almost here...

Hmm I did not see any prediction by Mr. Bill on that game :D but I sure hope for a good one...I expect both teams scoring over 30 points myself.... :p

Actually Ralph I ( along with many prognosticators ) anticipate UF's defense to be among the nation's best this season.

It should be a decided team strength and is the reason UF is ranked in the preseason top 10.

30 points means either the Hurricanes have one hell of an offense or that UF's defense ain't what it's cracked up to be.

I honestly forgot that UF is supposed to have a really good defense this year but this is probably our best offense since the 2001 Rose bowl and possibly a better O-line. That being said I personally would take a great defense over a great offense any-day...

What's up with Seantrel Henderson...once the top HS recruit in the nation, haven't heard much from him since he matriculated at Miami. Is he still on the team?

    Good question Terry

He has finally worked his way into the starting line up, shaved his dredds and looks presentable...Yeah that's probably racist somewhere...

He is starting last I heard and should be very good, I believe the attitude is gone...He will do great and become a valuable pick in the NFL.....

Good news Ralph on Henderson! He is one big dude. I would not want to be on the other side of the line facing him. I do not think his Dad helped the attitude situation as well.
